As my old jroller blog has been languishing in the state I left it exactly two years ago (16th January 2007! It’s now 2009, boy has time flown). So it is fitting that exactly two years after the last activity (save for the occasional log in to delete spam on my old webMethods and tibet posts) that I should make the first post on this shiny new blog.
So.. Welcome!

What’s the point eh?
While it has taken me pretty much a year of wasted hosting (although it’s been excellent hosting of an empty linux server I’d have to say) and domain name registration (again, been a quality service of pointing to nothing) to finally get off my arse and properly get this set up: I will attempt to keep a steady stream of interesting (I hope) stuff flowing onto the pages. I would like to resurrect (albeit not quite as frequently) my “Nathan’s roundups” which were (for those on my ever so exclusive email list of everyone I know with the slightest sense of humour) a review of recent news, with funny images yanked from the bounty of the internet to poke fun, comment and hopefully expose the weird, wonderful and silly stuff out there in the world.
I’m quite interested in the way religion plays a part in our lives in this modern age, and it continues to baffle and amaze me that we still cling to age old superstitions when we’ve clearly moved on in some significant ways from the limited moral code and scientific knowledge of thousands of years ago. But more on that later!
I’d also like to have somewhere to put up my touring reports and various expressions of my love for all things two wheeled. This will save me spamming my favourite motorcycle forum as well as discuss some of the things in more detail that at the moment are split between email conversations, the dreaded facebook posted links etc.
Just get on with it then!
So, to quote numerous 14 year old morons on numerous discussion forums:
FIRST POST!!!!11!!! W00t!
I think I’ll go shoot myself in the head for that.
Take it easy, and enjoy the rest of what’s to come,
Nathan

For me it’s an honour be the first commenter of the new your blog.
Good luck Nathan!

Bah, I’m not starting a trend of hyphenating first and last name, just had to because the nathanlee one was gone (doing nothing though).
